They both seem good to me in these early stages, but has anyone had any problems with them in the long term? I've had laptops before develop annoying problems like the touchpad button sending two signals instead of one when you press it (very annoying for browser navigation) and certain keys needing to be pressed harder and harder with time.
I notice the latest generic Synaptics drivers, while they work much more smoothly than previous drivers, do not fully work with Firefox - vertical scrolling is not supported. For me, that means I can't use Firefox as a browser. You can revert back to earlier drivers to make it work, but the earlier drivers just didn't feel as nice. The vertical scrolling didn't work as consistently (would just refuse to work on certain pages) and the scrolling itself was slower and jerkier. That goes for the Averatec supplied drivers.

I use mine everyday and there no problems. (I type a lot also)
Another thing that is good about Averatec's keyboards are the durability of the keys. A couple of my friends have Acer books and their keyboard keys have worn out due to excessive use. -
Of course I meant 6130 - I should really memorize the name of my computer sometime.
How does the 6120 keyboard/touchpad hold out?
