    Hi all:

I came across the chembook notebook at the following link:

    http://www.discountlaptops.com/index.php?section=configurator&regular_model_id=926&model_id=928

The configuration is awesome and the pirce for all that is unbelievable. Has anyone used this laptop before? How good is it? It also comes with a 2 year warranty.

    Ram.

The Compel CL 56 as its commonly called is a great notebook there are many users that like it, I was going to buy 1 but i thought it was too expensive at the time. and i decided on the Emachines M6809 but i later returned that due to Crack Hinge covers on more then 1 occasion and now iam an HP owner the Zx5000 is a great machine. Go ahead and buy the Compel CL56 aside from the Viewing angles its a good machine the speakers are alittle weak too.

yes, the fact that the ODM is Compal is good news too because they make notebooks for such notebook sellers as Dell (Dell rebrands them, sets the specs etc.) so you're getting about the same quality as any machine you would buy from larger notebook sellers.

Whitebooks as it is also called. Yes, they are made for Dell, Compaq and Toshiba, so that's what i've been told by my friends who sells them.
