    Hi,

I have several 5428's that are in for some PM. I have one that wont remember the date and time so I'm assuming it's the CMOS battery gone bad. I've torn into the laptop but I cant find the CMOS battery and I'm feeling rather challenged right now. *lol*

Does anyone have a link to a service manual where I can find the disassembly instructions?

Do you know a way around total tear down to get to it?

    Thanks!

    Hi anmlhaus,

I don't have an answer, but I hope you can provide one for me, I'm desperate
to find out how to take out the cd dvd burner in my Averatec 5428 laptop
model, so I can replace it! Please post the steps for the removal, for me.
Since you've taken so many apart, I'm sure you could assist me. I would be
    grateful!

Thank You in advance PS. Did you get a service manual, I would like to
    download one?
