    Hi!
My laptop cooling fan is acting really weird- it does not seem to understand, when to start cooling and when to stop. Does any of you have any idea, how to control the fan, that cools the GPU and CPU copper pipes?

I would be most grateful for any useful info. I have tried Riva tuner and Speedfan but those are not able to detect any fans in my system :S

    regards,

    M.

There is no way to control fan settings that I am aware of. All I can suggest is that you check whether or not the GPU freq(s) drop when idle. Use GPU-Z (sensor tab). Nvidia Powermizer malfunctions sometimes. Check registry keys with Powermizer Manager.

Sorry, but it's the BIOS controlling the fans, coded by Zepto. You can't do anything.

I know this is an old thread but anyway.

I'm having the same problem. Only I think mine is worse.
This is on a Nexus A15.

When the fan stops, it dosent start before GPU temp is 90degrees, and the system freezes at 88 degrees. I get 100% CPU load.

Does anyone have an idea of what's possible to do with this? This problem started very recently and i've tried to update my graphics driver from nvidia.com

And last time i had my Zepto in Denmark for repair they placed a new BIOS, and they have set a password on it, so I cant access it. Pisses me off.

I'm sorry, but why should Zepto have set a password on the BIOS? That sound too far fetched to be true.

If you haven't already, then clean out the fan for dust.

I don't know why. But its so strange. Because the last time I installed Windows 7 i had to change the boot device order, and then it was no password. This was 27.08.10.

I've used a compressor and a pistol to blow out all the dust inside. (I removed all the covers.)
