I'm sorry if there are simmilar threads out there, but I need a more deffinitive opinion on this. I'm thinking of getting one of the two Clevo's lappys, but the thing that bug's me is the brand, so here it is:
1. hypersonic aviator gx6 or sager 5690
2. hypersonic aviator gx7 or sager 8790
I'm still thinking between these two configurations I would have an p4 northwood 3.4Hz, 1gb ram, 60gb7200 hard drive 4x dvd rw on any model. I just have to decide whether 17inch screen is worth enough for extra $500. I'm a frequent traveeler, but I never use the battery. I will be using it mostly for some graphic design and sound&video editing and a little gaming & dvd watching also.
based on the vox populi the sager pulls out more votes, but hypersonic
offers Arctic Silver 5 Polysynthetic Thermal Compound and nice dead pixel policy, which almost wins me over.
Please help me decide... hypersonic or sager
P.S. One more thing, I'm from eastern Europe and, as far as I found only Hypersonic ships their models there. Does anybody know if some Sager reseller does the same?
Sorry for the mistakes - first time here. Awesome forum!!! Here's a smilie to all of you guys[]. I've learnt a lot here. Before I found out about this forum, I almost decided to go for an Acer aspire 1712smi for $1800, but now i just fell in love with these babies[
]. I would have to work hard to get the extra $500-$1000 but it will definetly be worth it. Thanks!

Have you tried the folowing sites:
www.discountlaptops.com
www.powernotebooks.com
They offer Sager laptops with both P4 and AMD64 CPUs and have incredible feedback from customers. Plus they won't skin you for a great configurable laptop. I think the second one offers Arctic Silver too and No-Dead pixel policy. What is great about these sites is that they allow you a lot of flexibility in your configurations, they have great feedback (check www.resellerratings.com), they are relatively cheap unlike the hypersonic guys, and also allow 15 day 100% refund WITHOUT THE DREADED 15% RESTOCKING FEE, no questions asked.
I am also looking at the Sagers (with AMD64, however) and these are the best deals i have come upon.
Good luck with your purchase.
