The other day I got a HyperData laptop from my sister, when she decided to get a new one. It's a bit outdated, obviously, since it had ME on it, but I'm sprucing the deal up.

I'm having two problems with it so far. I was wondering if someone here would know more on the subject, since I'm not really familiar with the brand HyperData. I've heard of the name, but I'm having troubles pinpointing a few things.

    - The Model Number on the back of the Laptop (M/N), reads off at "900X". Well, guess what? I can't find any HyperData 900Xs anywhere on the net. Nonewhatsoever.

    - The real problem that I'm having deals with the battery. It won't charge for some odd reason. I thought the problem might be with my BIOS; It may not understand how to deal with the battery because it's outdated or something. But, because of the first listed issue, I can't locate a proper update for it's BIOS. It detects the battery itself within XP, but it never goes above 0%, even though it claims to always be charging it. Before anyone jumps to it, don't worry the voltage between the battery and the power supply is just fine.

Can anyone provide some helpful info, so that I can try to resolve my problems? Thanks to everyone in advance.
