Another quick followup...
I had actually ordered from hypersonic and was planning on getting their system until I read the review on that site. I immediately called up and cancelled the order on friday an hour after I had made it, when I found out about ISTNC. It's saturday and I just found out that they charged 1000 dollars off my card this morning <sigh> here we go... -
Well, I called em up early on Monday to ask why they had taken money out of my account a day after I cancelled, and to give me a refund. The person I called told me that the money would be refunded the same day...
After I got home from work, I noticed a call from them, and gave them a call back. The billing person then asked me why I chose to cancel my order. I said that it was only because I realized I did not have enough cash to make the order, and I apologized for cancelling, but then I mentioned that I did cancel over a day before the money was charged from my account (ok, a bit of a lie.. I really cancelled because I saw all the terrible ratings on resellerratings.com) She said that was impossible. She then asked me if there was anything they could do to make me keep my order, I said no.
I then asked her if it was possible she could process the refund with me on the phone. She said she would. She then went on to say "Whenever we give a refund, it costs us money, so normally there is a fee for that. However since this is the first time, we'll give you a full refund".. This irked me a bit, considering I cancelled the order well before any money was charged, but I did not say anything, under the assumption that I was getting my money back right then. Their refund policy is also clearly stated on their web site (if you cancel within 2 days of making your order, there is no fee, otherwise it'd be 3% for the system I ordered) Well, its Tuesday, and the money's still not back in my account... I'll be giving them a call back. -

Hey thanks for posting that, we really value user input. At least Hypersonic gave you decent service with the refund.
