    I need a new 6 cells battery...
But in the Netherlands that's gonna cost me 110 euro / 160 dollar / 100 pounds.

    A 6 cells battery for the A14 / A15 costs 60 euro

On the global Zepto website I can't find it.
On the UK / German and USA site I can't find it.

Is there anyone that could help me?
From Zepto or not... I'm not gonna pay 110 euro's for a new battery

Dutch mode: heb je geprobeerd om de batterij een keer of 5 leeg te laten lopen in de bios en hem terug op te laden?

In English: try to unload the battery in the bios for like 5 times and every time recharge it to 100%

Other option: try to open your battery and replace every cell with another AA battery ;). There should be a thread in the dell forum about this :D

At the moment it is only 40 minutes left and that's quite ty =)

I'm not gonna open my battery ;)

if you are interested in modding your battery try googling: mod battery notebook
You should find a lot of information. I found tons of links, but not the one on this forum where they posted a guide about this.

Anyway the conclusion was that you won´t get a lot of improvement, but its fun... So it won´t last any longer than a new battery :(

edit: i got my battery from 17 min to 1h10m by unloading and recharing in the bios. But my batterypack is as screwed as yours. The most retarded thing microsoft invented was to shutdown/ auto standby when your battery is running low.

edit2: sorry microsoft invented a lot more crappy stuff :D

I have the same Zepto ;) remember you posting 2 years ago when we both got them. I have a 6224W too.

    The Battery is a NBP6A27B1
    10.8 volt
    4.8 Ampere Hour (AHr)

Your battery is the same as the 6214W (6cell 10.8 volt 4.8Ahr)

    See:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=355598

    The NBP6A27D1 is a 10.8V - 5.2AHr (much better the D1)

    Zepto 6224W & 6214W / 6324W 14" laptops use the same shell from a Chinese manufacturer.

    Yeah I remember you..
So you say: Look for an NBP6A27B1 or NBP6A27D1?

Have looked on Google / eBay, you can't get them anywhere..
The topic you referred to has got a link to an unreadable chinese site.. =s

I could only find a supplier in China.... not much use to a UK resident.

    Then I found this
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtqRvAu71Gw

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocnyWmMKbmU

Most (99%) laptop battery packs are nothing more than standard li-ion cell packs, if your competent with a soldering iron & solder watch the video.

I've not taken my bat-pack apart for my Zepto 6224 but I would believe that it will be nothing more than 6 cells of 3.6v or 3.7v = 3x 3.7volt in 2 banks = (10.8v if 3.6v cells) which is the 10.8 volt rating of the original pack.

Now I'm an electronics engineer and will do something like this if the replacement is £100.

I measured the original pack out of the laptop and it measures
    12-12-11-11 GND

Without opening the pack I can conclude the cells are arranged as:

    |------||------||------| 3x3.6v
    |------||------||------| 3x3.6v

    strapped together.

The original pack is 4800 mAhr (milli Ampere hour) or 4.8 Ahr
Because they are in two banks the Ah of each cell needs to be 2400mAh or better (that being 2 banks of 2400mAh double up to 4800mAh).

    Another example
    http://www.tomsguide.com/us/how-notebook-batteries-work-and-why-they-blow-up,review-838-7.html

Thing to remember is if you want to make your own (for around £20-£30) you need to disassemble your old one to find out the model number of the cells. They cost around £5 each and you need the ones with the tabs (taggs)

Yeah I know them, I'm personnaly in contact with them..
But 109 euro's for a battery is stupid as hell..

A new 6 cells battery for the Mythos / Nox costs 65,- euro

Tomorrow I'm gonna order one with Zepto NL for 109 euro...
It's a )@#($ lot of money, but it is my only option left..

When I've got it, I can modify the old one, maybe it's gonna work!

Please do. I'm in the same situation as you and would really like to know if I have any other options than buying a completely new one. :)

Same problem, but with a 6124w.

What do you mean "Unload the battery" in the BIOS

Is there any program that auto starts instead of the Windows ?
Or do you mean to leave the laptop in the BIOS and let it lose the power normaly ?

last option: start bios and let the battery loose power. It will last at least a bit longer then windows.

But for my battery this option won't work. My battery is almost dead: 5-10 min left and can't squeeze anything out of it anymore...

I finally managed to track down a company with a few batteries in stock!!

    Here you go: http://www.degreef.nl/

I just took delivery of one and now my 6224w is back to 2 1/2 hours on battery on stead of 5 minuttes. I paid 139 euro + shipping for it but that's a lot cheaper than a new laptop anyways.
