    1st impressions:

    - The top side is really reflective (see pictures above) which looks pretty cool
    - It's pretty quiet in my opinion

I'm installing windows as we speak, but I can take more pictures later if you are interested?

yeah, it's my 1st laptop and i like it so far. the screen quality is amazing. I havent gamed on it yet, just installing software and drivers etc. also it's my 1st vista install so i need to get used to that too.

The speaker quality is very acceptable. Ok, your average 2.1 set will beat it, but i think it's pretty good for a laptop.

RivaTuner said that a month ago too, it's been known to be wrong because it's mainly for desktop computers, not laptops, so likely, RivaTuner is wrong again about the IFL-90's 8600m GT having GDDR3.

Nice pictures, your screen looks matte. Did you order WSXGA+? :)

Note that these pictures where taken by hand without using a flash, so they might have moved a bit making the screen appear fuzzy

That is a beautiful screen. Thanks for the pictures! Can you post a black screen, to show for any light leakage? :)

I have to say I'm pretty impressed at the quality of the Compal's screen, the light leakage on that isn't as bad as some Dell Latitude or Inspiron pictures I've seen. :)

Ok, i got some games on it now. Trackmania Nations, Toca Driver 3, UT2004, Battlefield 1942 and GTA San Andreas all play perfectly on it. I admit they aren't the newest and heaviest of games but they look great on the WSXGA+ screen :D
