Hey guys, I just put together a Compal IFL-90 notebook for my friend and everything works great except for the ram. I'm trying to install 4GB with 2 2GB sticks, but the system doesn't load with both in the slots. It only loads with one of the sticks. Does any one know what the problem is?

    Specs:
    Compal IFL-90
    T7500 2.2GHz
    8600GT
    Robson TurboMem

Yeah that's what I thought. I tried to get it load from my usb though and it said it could not find it. I'll try again though. Thanx a lot.

make sure the USB stick is setup like a removable disk.
Search with google for the tool from HP to make the USB stick bootable.
Then search for files like windows98se bootdisk, this is needed when setting up the USB stick with the HP tool for boot option.
Put the directory with the flash files on the disk.
Reboot the machine select the correct device, load select the directory and type something like ifl001xxxx.xxx

I also have that problem - trying to install two modules of 2gb ddr2 667 of the brand kingston results in a system not starting.
Where can i find the bios you are refering?
