I have a desktop MCE I am using in the living room complete with remote. However, when I use the remote, it also affects my IFL90, too (MCE app starts when I hit the green button, OK button will hit the ENTER key, hitting the back button hits the Backspace key, etc).

The IR sensor is integrated, and the device in Device Manager doesn't allow me to disable any device related to eHome or the transciever.

I tried disabling MCE-related services, but MCE still starts withI hit the green button.

How do I solve this problem? Is it easy to physically disconnect the CIR eHome transciever? And no, I do not want to use masking tape on my laptop!

Forgot to mention that i tried that. Vista will eventually "find new hardware" and automatically installs it again after a while.

take the laptop out of the room when your using the desktop? :p

I think the IR unit is built onto the front of the motherboard, not sure. Removing might not be so easy.
