Hey everyone, I got the barebone IFL90 and after i assembled everything and installed windows, when I right click my computer and go to properties, the computer does not recognize my processor as T7300 Mobile. I read the guide for installing dual cores in the sager section, but it did not work. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

    1. Where did you purchase yours from? (Out of curiosity)
    2. What version of BIOS is your barebone? (Check it at the system boot-up screen)
    3. What kind of Windows are you using?

I am running Windows XP SP2, also i downloaded v3 and v4 of the hotfix and doesnt seem to work. When installing, it finishes really fast and no options asking for restart, almost like it didnt install. When i check my program files and show updates, the hotfix is not on there. Anyone know why?

    Something is probably shorted inside.
Open your system and make sure every component is plugged in tight and secure.
CPU, RAM, VGA, and other upgradeable component.

I am sure everything is secured tightly when I installed it. Is there anything else that someone can suggest?

Maybe trying a Linux boot disk (CD,USB,etc) to see if it recognizes the CPU as Dual Core or not....and discard a HW issue.

    Try memtest v1.70
Download the ISO, and burn it onto a CD
Then use the CD to boot up and to check your memory.

So you think it would be a problem with the memory not allowing Windows to recognize my CPU?
