I've had my IFL90 for about a week now and have been playing around with it. Anyway, I read some earlier reviews by people who seemed to have gotten very low benchmarks on the system:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=138614

I used 3DMark06 and got 3354 on my laptop at stock speeds with no overclock. These are the drivers I used:
    ftp://ftp.littlebit.ch/Littlebit Systems/Notebook/Stingray Z84 (FL90)/Driver
Please post your 3DMark scores so we can compare performance and figure out what are the best drivers.

The specs are in my signature. I can't explain this discrepancy but the machine is a lot better than what other people have been saying. The pictures on the website do no justice on how beautiful the machine is.

Scores seem normal for 1280 x 800 (guessing right?). I can see you're enjoying your laptop :p

Yep it's 1280x800. But when you run 3DMark it defaults to that settings when benchmarking right? So why did Fake get a much lower score when he did his benchmark? The only thing I can think of is if he used different drivers?

3dmark defaults to 1280x1024 if your screen can use it, not 1280x800

3dmark06's default resolution is 12x10 so if your screen can not do that resolution your results are tainted and can not be used as a valid test against other notebooks testing the offical resolution.

3dmark05 however uses a lower resolution that your screen can handle so I would suggjest you use that.

Fakes scores seem perfect, I get just at 3000 points on the C90S with the same gpu. Its just abit higher because of my stronger cpu. A gpu overclock can bring me just shy of 4000 points.

I moved to newer drivers and got 200 points more on 3dmark05 but my 3dmark06 scores stayed the same, the new drivers disable overclocking tho, but thats fine with me I dont think overclocking on a notebook is a good idea unless you use a cooling pad, and if your willing to go that far you should be on a desktop :p

Both this model and the C90S are at a strong disadvantage vs say the G1S due to the slower video card memory. It may pay off in some games tho with 512mb of memory vs the 256 of the G1S, so dont let the benchmarks step on your heart too much.

The c90s will be ahead of both soon enough when the HD 2600xt comes out I bet tho... fast speeds, more processors, smaller nanometer processing, ect.

Just ran 3DMark06 and got a 3400. I was running a few progs in background if that matters.

3DMark scores are pretty much the definition of "e-penis". They are fairly meaningless and translate into like an extra 2-3 FPS.

now if FPS was in inches, I'd see the point, but since it's in millimeters....

something non-3dMark :) I got an average of 94 fps in the cs:source stress test (1680x1050 res, quality - all max except AA : none) on my IFL90

Edit: forgot sth, the above score used trilinear filtering, with aniso 16x the score is average 88 fps

So you're one of the lucky ones to get WSXGA+ on your IFL-90 already? When did you order and where did you order from?

no I ordered mine from a Polish reseller (California Access, it was mentioned on the forum earlier), really can't explain the reason we got them so quickly, but it's now a month since the first IFL90s were available

Swoley got 4500 3dmark06 with the same card in the asus c90. I recomend trying to back off in your core speed some and boost your memory speed, I think you will get better scores. (12x10 mind you the official test resolution)

People put way too much stock in 3Dmark scores. It usually almost never translates that well into the real reality of performance. I'd rather see some actual game performance then people figuring out what divers are best for 3dmark -_-

i downloaded from http://www.compal.com/asp/driver_dnd/index.htm, the nvidia 156.10 driver but windows expirience score for aero is still 4.6. Why it is too low? Maybe i need a tweaked driver (?)

Just so you guys know, the windows experience scores go from 1-5.9 not 1-10 like some of you believe. So at the lower scale, 4.6 is at the higher end.

Thank you. But i have seen 8600gs to get the same score or higher (4.7). Why 8600gt get low score? It is not a very good card or is there any problem with the drivers ? (i have XTreme-G 163.44 Mobile Vista 32bit)

It has nothing to do with your card, it's the crappy windows experience benchmark. Don't trust benchamrks so much, in real life gaming 8600GT is way better than GS. Your drivers are fine.
