I just got my IFL90 from micro express today and have ran into a problem.

Ive installed tons and tons of desktop and laptop parts. And the install went fine and dandy. The problem comes when i load vista onto it.

After vista loads it defaults the card to 4 bit color.

I install the chipset drivers from the drivers page. Then install the video driver from the same page. It shows Nvidia Geforce 8600m GT video card but has a yellow triangle. It says this device does not have enough resources or is in conflict with another device.

Turns out the conflicting device is the 965 chipset pci express driver/card. But if I turn this off the computer will just boot loop and if i uninstall it it will just reinstall and still have the same problem.

I have uninstalled the video card numerous times and still has the same resource error. I can't change the resources to it under vista as it is grayed out. Has anybody else had the same problem?

Also i cant install xp as i don't have the sata driver and a external floppy drive.

Any solution would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

I'm not sure what problem you're having with vista but surely you can install XP on Ifl-90 just turn off AHCI in bios and you'll have no problem installing XP.

correction, you can install windows xp with AHCI enabled.
Just mae sure to run with BIOS version 1.12.

You can install the Windows XP S-ATA driver from cd, just burn the files you can download from Intel on to 1.

For further support about the AHCI under windows xp, see the new BIOS version and the option to enable and disable the AHCI option.
