Hello, this is my first time on this board so please bare with me....

When I close my screen when my laptop is on, and open it, the backlight will turn on, and then turn off. I have to close the lid again and retry a few times to get the backlight to stay when I open it. Now, I know the IFL90's lid doesn't have a switch, it's magnet powered, so could this be the culprit?

Yes, the magnetic switch could be slightly out of adjustment.

For help with this I would recommend calling your vendor's tech support.

Oh, and welcome to the forum!

Thanks; and actually, it seems to be working fine now. It's as if it knew I was requesting help so it statrts complying lol. Just kidding, actually I think it didn't work because I was lifting the lid up fast. If I lift it slowly so I count to 2, it stays on.

I have 169.28 XP32B drivers from laptopvideo2go.com, but maybe it was happening because of too much OC? I had my 8600mGT DDR2 clocked at 675/1425/495 from the default 450/1025/400. It was fine, but I saw artifacts for the first time while playing FEAR for an hour, so I lowered and everything is good (no more millisecond freezes).

Yop, FEAR is massive artifact finder. You have really nice OC though, my GPU can only take that frequencies at sub zero temperatures and only in 3DMark.

And I don't fink its OC. Looks like it is faulty switch after all.

I am on XP, and that hotfix seems to have done it. I can open fast now, and I notice it the backlight turns on, then off but turns on again. Thanks.
