PS: I know windows movie maker does it, but I want something better.

Great question, I just came back from Canada and took a video and I would love to do the same, my problem is I don't have the right adapter, I have a Sony camcorder, small but not the latest camera so I can't find a driver so I can download the video through an USB port.

Couldn't the TV tuner be used for this purpose? (I don't have it neither).

I have an IEEE port though, but I don't have the cord :(
