    Hi!

I'm not sure if I should be worried about this, but basically when I view avi files (especially fast action movies), I find that the screen sometimes shutter or lag. Its not noticeable ..but still, its annoying when you've paid so much for a laptop to find that the monitor is crapping up.

    I don't think they're artifacts, but I'm not sure.

I'm using a IFL90, with a 8600m GT card. I noticed this lag/shutter on the 169.04 driver..then I changed that to the 158.22 drivers, and its still the same.

Could it be due to some conflict in drivers? or does it imply sometime is wrong with the GPU? or is it the screen ?

    Cheers!

Green blocky artifacting is very common in AVI video format. It is usually the result of the codec itself or the process at which the video file was compressed. Try installing a new codec pack to see if that fixes the issue. Also be aware that this is common and to be expected with a lot of AVI, DIVX, and XVID video compression.

The best audio codec pack out there is called K-Lite Codec Pack 4.17 (Full), and the newest version can be downloaded from the trusted site www.filehippo.com
