Today I accidentally spilled some pepsi on my ifl-90's keyboard. Thankfully it wasn't damaged but now that it's dried, some of the keys are sticky.

My question is: is it ok to pop off the keys individually and clean under them like on a desktop keyboard? or do I have to remove the entire keyboard? Or do I have to do something else entirely?

    Thanks in advance.

You can do either or. Once I spilled cranberry juice on my keyboard, and cleaned the whole thing while it was still in the laptop, but found the actual movement of the keys was sticky in addition to the tops. So I took the whole board out, then individually removed...every...single...key...and cleaned each one. Hours later, she was good as new.

Incidentally, the keyboard stopped working two months later due to an unrelated hardware problem, and I ended up getting a new one sent to me :p

edit: you'll have to clean it pretty thoroughly, then let it dry overnight and see if there are any sticky spots the next day. Also I wouldn't use anything but warm water and a cotton cloth, or just a soft cloth in general.

Thanks for the help, It wasn't a big spill anyway. Got any advice on re-seating the spacebar? mine doesn't seem to want to cooperate.

Mm...my spacebar had two connectors to the keyboard via a metal bar or something, and they lined up fine. You could try googling it, I dunno :\
