I just got my new IFL90 and I'm liking it thus far. My question is, has anyone tried notebook hardware control with their IFL90? I installed it but it doesn't allow me to change voltages or set the cpu speed...

well it looks like it doesn't work with socket P processors yet...

Well I got RM clock and it won't let me adjust any voltages.

yeah it wouldn't let me adjust anything because I was trying a pin mod from 667mhz fsb to 800...
I removed the mod and it lets me play with voltages now.

Can you share or PM me your voltage settings? Just to compare and see how low I can push things on mine. Have you noticed better battery life and less heat?

well I haven't had this laptop longer then one day so I can't comment too much on the battery life issue. Right now I'm running prime at .95v (the lowest vid I can go) @ 1.66ghz and its been stable for the past 5hours. I wish I could select a lower vid but this chip only allows .95-1.25v.
Heat wise my orthos load went from 80*C (when the fan kicks on the highest) to 63*C, so thats a tremendous temperature difference.
which processor are you running on yours?

Well...I've tried RMClock 2.3 RC and also downloaded CPU-Z latest version...lowest VID reported from 2.25 and 2.3 are different...and also CPU-Z reports something else.
Which one to believe? Lowest VIDs:
    CPU-Z v1.4 : 0.85v
    RMC 2.25: 0.95v
    RMC 2.3: 0.962v

NHC is rubbish anyway. The CPU throttling is going crazy on my HEL-80 (116B), RMClock does the job much better.

Thats weird that you have different reported VIDs. My rmclock and cpu-z both match up. I would believe rmclock, but I don't know why the two different versions report different vids.

CPU-Z 1.36 and RMCLock 2.25 match...the point is that if newer versions don't I don't know which one to trust.
Have you noticed lower temps when using RMClock?

It might just be vista. I tried NHC on my HGL-30 when I had vista installed and I had the same problems with the voltages.

I'm on XP though. There is some room for Santa Rosa improvements in NHC and RMClock I guess....
