    What the hell is Batteri!!!
I don't know how the M1710 shown there is configured, but this sucker still looks competitive next to it.

Batteri is (obviously) battery, and it seems to las an impressive 237 minutes. (3 hours and 57 minutes, for those who suck at math ;) ).

when you click on the link that they have in the review for the XPS M1710, its kinda amazing that its so competitive because of 7950gt. as far as i can tell everything else in it is just not as good if they're using a machine with those specs to compare. that just seems amazing to me

it's only competitive because of the graphics. everything else in it is lower, except for the price I think? ;) I'm aware it's a year older, still, someone already said santa rosa is a next-in-line tech but not a revolution. robson is the improvement here, sorting out the bottleneck which at today's market cpu speeds would be the HD transfers. wouldn't expect much diff unless for MHz/battery/temperature. remember laptops is not only performance, silence/batt/general feel matters quite a bit since you are close to the machine most of the time, it's not like it's sitting safely tucked away under your desk ;)

It really wasnt as big as going from 915 to 945 and the whole new generation of CPUs now was it :)

Although DX10 cards are huge but technically aren't part of the platform.

8600GT and nearly 4 hours of battery life? If true, that's amazing.
