    Im Getting Strange Lines On MY 6130HS

    It's weird I get large vertical neon lines coming down my screen depending on what position my screen is tilted, It goes away if I adjust it, but eventually comes back, heres a picture

    you can see the line just to the left of where it says title. it goes across the whole screen, is my lcd busted?, or is something just lloose?

    You might have a loose connection, given it "fixes" from time to time. I'm not sure how Averatec connects their LCDs, but if you're not under warranty, you might want to poke around a bit.

    Interesting... mine comes down right in the middle of the first "t" in "Notebook Database" in the menu tabs at the top of this website... about 68 pixels to the right of where your's is. And mine is a double! Red flanked by white. Also my screen occasionally dims so I have to push on the logo beneith the screen a few times to get it brighter again.

    yea i got two lines now, but they both go away with adjustment, still neone got an idea?

    Mine did the same thing but was just inside the right catch. If you look closely you may have a warped case (lid), which cracked the LCD screen. Mine was replaced under waranty (11 mo.). When I got it back, the lid was a lot easier to open, originally was real tight. I added a felt pad on the top between the latches, to prevent from stressing the lid. I was wondering if the heat was warping the lid when it was closed. My next one is going to be a metal/AL/Ti case so I want have these problems.
