All Uk Citizens must burn their zeptos and declare war on Denamark immediately

I was looking through my delivery note and found this

    "AC Cable (Mickey Mouse) UK"

This is a slight against all 3 pin power cord great nations and the infidels must be tought a lesson.

Everyone knows The term Mickey Mouse can only be used on two conditions
1.The Cute and Colourful Disney Character
2.Describing sports Played in america by americans that no one else cares about.

This is a slight against the Nation of Britain and Oirish we must not stand for this UK citizens and demand zepto change their wording or Denmark will be met with all due force!

    ;)

    NNNNnnoooooo Not Lego Land...

btw /off topic slightly. Isnt it illegal so say stuff like "I promise legoland will be bombed" ?

Heard some someone say that not long ago. That if you say that over the phone, it could be perceived as a theat.

    Dunno, just wondering.

    /back on topic

HAHA, I Laugh at you. We will build a giant tiny lego tank army and invade Britain. You will be so completly overwhelmed, and forced to surrender out of pure annoyence. And the mess will be huge, lego's as far as the eye can see... DONT MESS WITH US, OR WE'LL LEGO YOU..

I once heard some one say that in Europe soccer is a substitute for war, and Americans just aren't into what you call football because we don't need a substitute for war... :D

P.S. In a real fight between Denmark and the U.K. I think you'd lose -they'd attack during tea time and it would be over before you finished the biscuits...

P.S.S. Ever step on a Lego?!

    :D

    First quote: So true
Second quote: Yes, many times, and it hurts like hell. (also why an invading lego tiny tank army would be devistating. For years to come, people will be reminded on their own feet, what a mistake it was to declare war.

    LOL

At least good to hear/read that you didn't loose your humor after all the trouble with your 6214, JuanKer.

Danmark, with Germany you'd have a 2-pin ally... All you three pin pluggers: what do you need to compensate for with that third pin?

Danmark also has 3 pins, on for grounding.
Germany uses a diffenrent standard for grounding.

The danish plugs are of course the standard that all should strive to have.

And dont get me started on the american 2 plugs, tiny 2 pin "cant stay in the wall" powerplug. OMG... Maybe thats why they are the they are.. its those pathetic powerplugs they have. :))

On a side note we don't call them Mickey Mouse because of the 3 pins in the mains plug, but becasue of the plug in the adapter itself (the box). :)

Arrgh, I just got an axe to grind with that cursed threelegged plug. Not that it as such is a bad design from a technical point of view, but I think the danish standardization group made a huge mistake. Neighboring countries Sweden, Norway and Germany all have the same standard. France has a different standard, but sufficiently compatible so that manufacturers can make a hybrid plug that can be used with both standards without any modification. Since many other countries in europe also use the "german" standard, the same plug covers a very large part of europe.

Apparently this was too convinient for DS (the danish standardization group) who made a standard that is incompatible with both. It is simply not possible to make a plug that is compatible with both Denmark and neighboring countries, or France for that matter. However one can plug a german grounded plug into danish sockets (except sockets for computer equipment which is a slightly different standard than the normal grounded sockets), and for that reason close to 99% of all appliances in denmark that can be grounded, (obviously) comes with the german/french hybrid-plug.

The manufacturers of that last percent who actually honour the danish standards is mostly those of computer equipment (in my experience especially laptop computers), but if it weren't for standards like the "mickey mouse" socket/plug, I seriously doubt they would have bothered either.

And I wish they wouldn't. Lets say one would go from Denmark to sweden on holiday, far from civilization although still blessed with electricity, happily taking ones lappy out on a rainy day, then spending hours cursing that stupid threelegged plug while "molesting" it with a file on a pocketknife.

In lack of a danish flag in the post icons, I opt for a swedish one, thats half right anyway. (Can't believe kuwait got a flag and we didn't.)

    Lol, great post BStigsen.
I acctually agree with you. I like the type of grounding they use in germany.
That last third pin has made my life a ***** on many o occasions.

One time i was installing a new computer system in a dentist office, and i thought i had everything i needed, BUT, NO **** 3 PIN SOCKETS.
So in true Macgyver style i allied myself one of the dentists, a very good looking one at that ;) , she found a pair of havyduty dental tongs and a diamond tip drill. I cut the grouning pin, and she filed it down smooth.
Good teamwork, and it worked great.

There are many types of plugs in DEN, the round 3 pin grounded ones, the round 2 pin onces, the flat 2 pin ones, and the 2 pin grounded ones from GER, SWE, NOR that find perfectly in any round socket, and the 2 sidebyside flat sockets you find in wall outlets, if you dont mind it blocking the 1 socket next to it.

I dont know why it has to be so hard to agree and a standard.
There are always some braniac who thinks one design is better/safer/cheaper/easier ect.ect than the one allready on the marked.

Anyway... I STILL THINK THEY SHOULD CALL THE UK ONES FOR "MICKY MOUSE" for the sole purpose of annoying Juan Ker MUHAHAHAHA :D
