Good News
The Barebones for the 6625WD and 6224W arrived at our head office in Denmark an hour ago. This was a large shipment to satisfy our earlier orders that we have been taking since the 10th of may. We are opening our production up over the weekend to build as many as possible. The 6224 will now be available to order! We are expecting more 6625WD`s on the 2nd of july

im kinda getting reports that the ones comming to australia are out the denmark airport today and comming into australia next week...
fanks! -
This is the 1st batch of 6625WDs that we have had in. Anything going to Australia so far would have been a 6224/6324.
-
This is the first batch of 6625s and the 2nd (or 3rd already?) batch of 6224s.

did the hybrid hard disks arrive yet?
-
Excellent news, Ian & Rene, I'm very happy the barebone units have arrived,
now for that specialist technical team to build my monster spec. 6224 and
ship it safely to me, so I can take loads of photos, benchmarks and load it with software.
Thanks for the info. guys, now remember that's 4Gb's DDR2 PC6400 RAM in
my little baby & all the other toys.......
I can feel the tingles.... -

The hybrid disks did arrive. There are some users in the German forum that already have theirs.

Any comments?

There was a review in this weeks issue of the c`t:
Under Vista the hybrid disks has the option to active battery save mode. This can be managed seperatly in 2 profiles. One for AC power and the other for battery. At first they tested and found no benefit. Vista was indexing files so the disk did not spin down. After deactivating Vista indexing they achived 15 minutes of longer battery run time.
Readydrive showed no benefit in boot or wake up from hypernation. The 256mb flash was too small. -

Do you know when customers get their orders? I ordered 6224w 5/31/07 in Finland. Customer Service here wont answer to my emails. -

That's true. Their representatives have said in these forums that they're even working during weekends to be able to deliver all the laptops to their eager customers.
In addition to that, i think that because only few ppl here know about Zepto, and that means only few orders, Digicomp only gets stuff from Zepto, let's say, once in two weeks. -

We've actually got 2 shifts a day working in the production at the moment to get the machines produced. The Production is working from 6am until 10pm these next few weeks.
I've even chipped in and have been building machines from 4:30pm until 9pm today after my normal workday on the phones. -
Wow! Any idea how long it will take for a normal day to return?
Thanks for all the extra time, over time and extra effort from all the Zepto customers! -

Well they have planned the next two weeks at least with this schedule.
300 machines where build over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday). -
You guys got in more orders than you expected I guess?
-

No, we just got lots of delays on the barebones and other parts we needed so we didn't get to start building when it had been planned to start with the new models. So we are behind compared to what was planned, not compared to what was expected.

I'd thank for all the customers that are willing to wait for their orders

My order was 6224 (to the max). So this may of added a little to my system build as it's a T7700 version.
