I think it's the AHCI driver.

To install windows you have to integrate the AHCI driver in the win xp cd, or you have to disable AHCI (-> enable IDE) in BIOS.

You can create a new windows cd with nLite (you could also integrate the SP3 and other patches and hotfixes).

Yes, I tried to disable the AHCI by enabaling the IDE in BIOS, but the results where the same.

I never have used nLite and have no idea what it is.. I will try my best but some help and guidelines would be more than terrific.

I know only a german How to....

I'm sure that you'll find something with google.

    1. Step
you have to copy the original Win XP CD on your HDD (also the hidden files etc)

    2. you have to download the drive (Intel AHCI) http://rapidshare.de/files/40350097/Driver.rar.html

    3. install and start nLite http://www.nliteos.com/
nlite explains itself. with nlite you integrate the driver and perhaps also SP3.

    4. after integrating the driver, you have to burn the new cd.

I'm not sure, but when you insert the Zepto CD, the CD starts with autorun, then you can install Zepto mobile utilities, but i've had shutdowns while restarts.

But if you regard the cd by windows explorer you'll find Zepto Mobile utility in the Vista driver, in two versions.

After installing the latest version, it worked. i d'ont know why.

Perhaps with autorun, the cd installs the old version. When you read the change log of Zepto mobile, you can see that there was a problem with Win XP and RAM > 2GB

tja, I tried both installing directly form the driver cd and last vista version form ftp on XP, but without success. Installation directly from cd gave blue screen at reboot and ftp version did not install at all due to "version miss match".

not easy this. camera is not working either or is it me again ...

I have a feeling that the sound card has trouble with deep bass. Can't figure out how to adjust it. Not complaining, it is better than my dell m20.

I have a problem installing XP on a Nox using nLite.
I created an image from my original Win XP CD and included every XP driver from the Zepto website, but this didn't work. BSoD after loading the files (even before you make partitions/format).
What am I missing, I don't quite get what you guys are talking about - Intel's floppy Matrix storage driver? o_o

    Any help is appreciated.

I've tried installing XP SP3 aswell. After the main installation part is done (The part where it formats drive, copies files) it reboots and shows the XP Bootscreen for the first time. Then it BSOD's...

Anyone know how to get past that part, or has had the same error, and knows how to fix it?

I managed to install XP SP2 into my Mythos after i changed the HDD mode in BIOS from AHCI to IDE and i formatted the partitions with Ubuntu LIVE CD.

Though ATM i have Vista Ultimate 64 installed and my BIOS is still in IDE. IF i try to change it into AHCI, i get a quick bluescreen.

What's the difference in keeping the HDD option in IDE instead of AHCI?

Not a lot. There should be better performance when using AHCI, and IF you have an Intel Turbo Memory fitted you can't use it unless you have AHCI enabled. In order to re-enable AHCI without getting a blue screen, have a look here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922976

All the things you hated about Vista could simply be disabled.. Quite sad that people dont look into that before labeling Vista as .
