Hello everyone,
Everything was working fine until i tried to open photoshop. Every time it ends loading i get a BSOD about iaNVstor.sys and a reboot.![]()
Anyone else having this problem ? It's only with photoshop that it happens!
I am using photoshop cs3 and 1.0.1.1004 turbo memory drivers.
Someone please help me ?
-
NV... It looks like a graphic driver problem, what driver are you using?
-
For the graphics i'm using the latest from nvidia for vista 64bits, 169.12.
Are your sure its from graphics cause on the device manager the flash logic cache chip (or something like that) is using the iaNVstor.sys and not the graphics card. -
damn ... gonna try photoshop cs2 i guess ...
-
Have you sent an e-mail to photoshop? May be they are aware of this and they have a fix. I would also look in MS web site for a fix as well.
-
Weird, really weird that anyone else had this problem ...
Gonna send an email to adobe. -
Have you tried updating the turbo memory drivers? The last one are v1.5.0.1013... Because it seems like you're using really old ones:

Dont really know what done ti, downgraded the bios to 1.15 and the Turbo Memory do 1.1.0.1010. Seems that everything is ok now, gonna try updating the memory turbo drivers by now.
-
Sorry for being stupid, but I don't understand why do we blame the turbo memory. BTW my version of it is 1.5.0.1013.
-
Because the file quoted in the bsod screen was part of the TM drivers(and not the gfx card contrary to what I first assumed)...
-
Good point, I didn't discern that.
It looks like someone else had the same problem and it resolved it getting the ....1013 driver, but here is the interesting note, this person also renamed the iaNVstor.sys file to avoid conflict, apparently this is not longer a file on the ...1013 driver. His nickname is "Weird" in the of Lenovo/IBM thread. -
Here's what i have done. Re formated the pc using the 1.1.0.10101 version for TurboMemory, 1.16 bios (the latest) and everything else with the latest versions. Runs ok, no problem and i got a perfect 10 out of the liability (?) monitor.
-
Wasn't reformatting a little bit overkill?
-
And what version is ...10101? I thought the latest version for IFL90/FL90 was the ....1013.
-
The format was just because i wanted and the turbo memory driver version in the one on intel site, the old one. But for me its the only one stable, so bios 1.15 and 1.1.0.1010 were the ones who did it. I did try bios 1.16 but with those i got a bsod on the turbo memory drivers install. Reflashed to 1.15 and everything went just fine, then tried the latest drivers for turbo memory which also gave me problems.
So now its all ok, thanks everyone. -
Good for you.
-
Well the problem is back or it was never gone, didnt have this problem for long until i installed sp1. That user renamed the ianvstor file ?
-
I couldnt find the "Weird" user.
-
Have you updated to the latest intel drivers? The 1.5?
-
I'll try to find his link. -
-
Have you installed the Turbo Memory Module software, if so which version.
Have you installed the Intel Chipset software if so which version.
Have you installed the Intel Storage software if so which version.
Which BIOS version are you using. -
Here we go, i am using 1.15 bios.
The Turbo Memory lastest drivers 1.5.0.1013 (trying these ones by now).
The Turbo Chipset and Software drivers are 7.8.0.1013 if i'm not wrong.
Just formatted the laptop (for the second time this month) installed sp1 and all drivers by the order from bizcom site and everything seems ok, but then sometimes when using photoshop with heavy pics or something i get the BSOD.
Thank you everyone for the help -
okay.
Have you installed the Intel® Matrix Storage Manager software version.
When you install the Intel Turbo Memory Module, with the software version 1.5.0.1013 the storage manager software is autom....... installed.
Have you installed the Chipset driver version 8.3.1.1009
What type of HDD do you have, any other special settings.
Which version of Photoshop are you using, and is everythign working fine when not installing the memory module and sp1.
Please verify the requested above. -
I still don't understand why w don't call photoshop with the problem, is definitely a code issue.
-
-
I don't understand, it seems skipt is talking about two chipsets? There is just one turbo flash chipset.
-
The Intel Turbo memory module software will install the Hardware driver for the Robson device, and it will install the software for the Intel Storage manager which will detect you sata chipset.
This last software package will be installed after the reboot, you can see you HDD is detected and again a reboot is needed to make everything work with the driver and software application.
So again 1 Device, and one software package but it will detect more new hardware after the installtion.
You can also download this separate from the turbo software but it's not advised to do so because it will only work when you install the OS on a RAID based system. -
This is just to get things more complicated that it is necessary, Intel is really a troubled company.
