I have a T7700 processor, and read up on Turbomemory and it seems to give a good performance boost. First, can I enable it, and how? Does the processor have the turbomemory, or does the motherboard? And do I need Vista or something to enable it?

Do you already have the turbo memory module installed? It goes into a mini-PCIe slot and acts as a storage device. If it was already installed then it should have been set up to work.

Have a read of Anandtech's Analysis of Turbo memory.

turbomemory is a hardware component.. if it came on your notebook it would already be in use. you may see a small boost

It works with Vista. The minicard is under the plastic bar above the keyboard in the left hand side. If you have 4GB of memory you should not see any boost at all because the RAM is used instead and is much faster than the turbo memory which is flash memory.

To see if it is working go to start-all programs-intel turbo memory, run the application and you'll see if it is enable, be careful with playing enabling and disabling it, it would seems that that application was not meant for that purpose. The reason been is that although you would change something the result might not be the one you are lookng for, in other words you cannot trust the status at 100% after you fouled with it.
