I wonder how much difference it makes with which color goes to which number? I got my card from Hong Kong and that was the way it was pictured on the paper I got with it. I think they sent wrong papers, I don't understand Chinese. That also was the way my 4965AGN was hooked up. I did read in another forum thread here that you needed BIOS ver. 118 installed to support the WiFi 5300.

After I posted on that other thread, I bought one and tried it, and it worked. I have BIOS version 119. First I downloaded the driver from Intel and had the folder on my desktop. Then I uninstalled the 4965 and drivers using device manager and shut down the laptop. Replaced the WiFi card and rebooted. When windows wanted to install the new hardware, I directed it to the folder on my desktop and it installed the drivers and I've had no problems. The laptop's wifi is just as fast as my desktop that is wired directly to the router.

OK. Nothing is working for me.
I tryed to connect wires as you sayed and as it shown on the picture and nothing.I have installed, uninstalled drivers,Intel software in all sequences and nothing.
I have bios 1.19. May be downgrade to 1.18 will help?
The card is shown in the device manager with yellow (!) symbol and properties says "Device cannot start. code 10"
Everest is showing this card without any problems, but Intel wireles manager says no device is instaled.
    Any Help please?

You have WiFi 5300 under IFL-90,BIOS 1.19,Win XP Pro SP3 and it working fine?

Dumb question here. Did you put it in the same slot the 3945 came out of? When I first got my JFL92 I put the WiFi card in the slot for the TV tuner and had weird problems until I put it in the right slot.

My bluetooth module was supposedly made for hp only and no drivers would work with it, I would either get device not found during the driver install or some other kind of weird stuff in the device manager, I solved it by purchasing bluesoleil though I also found a crappy bluetooth stack from Toshiba too... Anyway have you tried getting said driver from lenovo? If it's customized for them maybe their driver will make the card work on your laptop :)
