All in their driver page here https://www.eluktronics.com/mag-15-drivers/

PSA 12/16/19 Battery drain? I went from a pretty consistent 7-8 hours down to 2-3 tops. It seems like we’re getting everything back to normal. Be sure to update to the latest BIOS as of December 16th 2019 as well as the CC.

ICC Color Profile via Spyder5 Pro. Panel BOE084D https://drive.google.com/open?id=1vscXdr3ujRYvRQucTyEXbrTaY8UVzTRO

This should compete nicely with the thin and lights featuring a proper battery.

    MAX FAN BUG!
Edit Oct 15th 2019 BIOS 0052 Removes this "feature"

GPU thermal limitation: I have provided substantial evidence to support the concerns regarding this and how it can effect the perception of this laptop ultimately affecting sales and returns. However, this is a collaboration project with intel and it's their BIOS. As of right now, we're trying to get this increased towards the standard 87c. My advice, don't buy this laptop with the expectation of this becoming a reality.

There's so much more to come but for now, feast your eyes on a Stock thermal paste MAG-15 tuned up by yours truly below :)

Apex Legends settings set per my liking of course.

CPU UV -.125 Core/Cache PL limits to 35w
GPU Voltage Curve Lock at .800v @ 1700Mhz
    Max Fan at 52dB

Those in doubt can watch the full gameplay in an unlisted video here. Settings in the description

    Aero 15 (early 2019) vs MAG-15

    MAG-15
    Weight Winner 4.15lbs
    Footprint Winner Razer Blade size
    Build Material Winner Magnesium Alloy
    Fingerprints Winner Stays super clean!
Trackpad Winner Slightly larger, easy to disable, double-tap top left
Windows Hello Winner IR camera's rock!
CPU Performance Winner CPU Performance after our CC updates should suit everyone :)
    Docked
Winner AERO cannot perform well with its lid closed

Battery Life Tie Both set a high standard
Thermals Tie The MAG is a work in progress

    AERO 15
Fan Acoustics Winner 4dB quieter 48 vs 52
Port Selection Winner UHSII and an extra USB-C
Software Winner Detailed + Fan Control
GPU Performance Winner Higher GPU temp throttle limit
Display Winner Individually Pantone Calibrated but the MAG is 30-40 nits brighter
Speaker Audio Winner No question The AERO speaker audio is actually very good, but not loud
PSU Size Winner since it's smaller

Is that what it does? Basically a OC of the GPU? CPU too?
    Anyone have any comparisons.?
Thanks for the reply that answered some of my questions.

Just GPU I believe. If the CPU is locked, it stays locked. No extra feature will unlock it.

I'm mildy worried about the chasis stability, watching dave's video you can see the laptop flex as he moves it about.

Wish this was announced sooner. I went with a MBP to hit the near 4lbs mark. There was nothing out there except the MSI GS65 8th gen and the flipped mobo was a non-starter for me.

I hope more manufactures take its approach. All the current thin and light laptops are nearly 5lb. Lots of thin but not so light.

I just realized Dave did the whole video with no screws in the bottom so he could access the inside, that may be the reason why it flexes.

    Hopefully...

That’s a huge deal actually. I’ve had the screws out of the Aero 15 for weeks till I had the time to make some internal changes. When I took some compressed air to the keyboard and internals the flex was very evident when holding the chassis with one hand at it’s corner.

    Good eye!

Strange, there's no RTX 2060 version. Also, I wonder if the Elukboost works the same way as in the Mech lineup. Not to mention, since this was designed with Intel, would other resellers get this feature like XMG?

Usually the aero 15 is known for its solid build, so the flex on the mag-15 is probably a non-issue. Thanks Bob.

Do you think those ridiculously good temps are from liquid metal? Being as its from eluktronics?

    Very interesting chassis.
With regular scissors style keyboard it will be just perfect for me.

@XMG do you planning to sell this chassis in Germany?

There's an earlier thread discussing "The New XMG".
I think it would be best to centralize everything into one vendor-neutral thread for easier reference (having the "generic" model/chassis designation would certainly help).

WHY a 90 watt MAX-Q? GOD DAMN IT. It could easily support 115w mobile chip. This keyboard is definitely better than scissors, flimsiness and noise notwithstanding.

The paste was Coolermaster Nano Gel. It’s an option on their customization page, so no Liquid Metal on that unit.

There’s also a new section that draws in air near the display B cover area.

Gamereactor has uploaded a video interviewing XMG and Intel representatives.
From Notebookcheck's thread, it seems there will be "Overboost" mode (similar to Eluktroboost, I recon) that increases acting wattage and performance.

Now if this thing had g-sync with a MUX switch it would dominate the competition.

I wonder, could the eluktroboost modification be done in tandem with g-sync? Or does the nature of it make it impossible?

Understood, I was really just asking about the cooling design in general, and if you knew if air is drawn in from the top surface like the RB15. Happy to wait for your review if that’s getting into NDA territory.

This looks interesting, but I'm wondering if Eluktronics has good customer service? Also, should I repaste or are the temps already good enough with stock paste that it's not worth it? Also, XMG is launching the fusion 15, which seems to be the same thing. Any opinions on Eluktronics vs XMG?

They replaced my motherboard just recently, despite the fact that I repasted it myself with liquid metal (not that LM was the culprit). So I'd say yes.

But something about the name "Eluktronics" and their logo will scare people away, almost scared me away.

Well Eluktronics is a US based company and XMG is a Germany based company so... It kinda depends on where you live. I personally have an XMG Pro 15 (early 2018) and I haven't had any issues with it.
So get the one which is closest to you so you can get support readily available and not wait months incase something breaks.
Also repasting is never a bad idea if you're using something like liquid metal. But from initial thoughts from Dave2D, I don't think it'll be needed :p

Does anyone know if the Thunderbolt 3 DP out is from the GPU or CPU? This looks like the perfect laptop for me, but it's a non-starter if I can't use a Valve Index with it.

LOL I literally got this response in email SECONDS after making my replys

    "
    Hi Justin,

Thanks for your message. Yes, displayport over USB-C is supported.

    Thank you!

I looked at this newer Tongfang option versus the MECH-15G2Rx and ultimately elected to stick with the older system because of the dual mini-DP output it offered and the fact that the keyboard on the new one is missing the numeric keypad. Both of those features were more important to me than having TB3. My impression from Dave's video also suggested the keyboard backlighting was somewhat muted or softer on the newer model, and I prefer brighter backlighting. I prefer the muted black color and metal bottom panel of the newer model better, but I also prefer the more chiseled/angular look of the older chassis. The flat lid and blunt edges are a little bit lacking in character for my personal tastes. It seemed like Dave's impression was that the audio output quality was also inferior... perhaps due to the bottom cover hindering the audio output.

I made my order today, with the RTX 2070 MQ and Conductonaut paste, etc. I'll try to post some impressions when it gets here.

I wonder how it'll compare to the Clevo PB51 which is what I have. The Mag is a full cm thinner and has a larger battery but uses a MaxQ that can turbo like a MaxP.

Very excited to get a bigger battery in my OP17. It has only 46whr which does not even do 3 hours as processor does not reach c7/c8 sleep states
The dimensions look the same but I will wait for your confirmation before making the purchase
