I just have a few questions about this laptop:
How durable is the laptop? I assume the build quality is good, but on my current laptop, keys break off, the power button is breaking, usb ports are failing, the cd drive case is breaking off. Before I buy one, I need to know that this notebook will be durable. I understand that most notebooks are as durable as I treat it, but I just need to make sure the notebook I buy will not break on me =P
Are there any heat issues with this laptop? One of my biggest concerns is heat. My current notebook overheats even with the battery out and a cooling pad. This notebook won't be burning my body if it rests on my lap, will it?
Also, I would like to put LoJack on my laptop, does anyone know of any compatibility issues with this? I know LoJack is not supported if the computer has Phoenix Recovery on it. Will this be a problem?
All in all, it looks like a great laptop for a great price, but these few issues are important to me.
Thanks in advance.

Since this is a brand new model no one could possibly give you an honest answer about durability. The only thing we can say is that it is the top of the line Compal model, and Compal is known for their quality build.
Our test units proved to handle the heat exceptionally well.
LoJack answer is the same as durability. No on could possibly know at this time.
I am curious though, since you have so many issues with your current laptop, what brand and model is it? -
Donald, sounds like an older Toshiba

Surprisingly, an ABS Mayhem G4. I bought this thing about a year and a half ago and I am extremely disappointed. It is not durable at all and the whole computer is just failing hardware wise. It overheats to no end. I take the battery out, and it's resting on a cooling pad and the thing STILL overheats and shuts down every once in awhile, most of the time when I'm not playing a game. I feel like I could cook eggs on the bottom of my laptop. Since I'm on a one year warranty, I'm totally screwed if I want to repair it.
Anyways, before I buy this notebook, I just want to make sure the same type of problems will not happen to me again. Compal seems like a reputable company.
Interested in the IFL90 and have a few questions.
