    Is it safe to disable ACPI in the Bios ?

    Like the title says.. is it safe to disable ACPI in bios completely ? to make the fan stop going nuts at random times....

    I wouldn't do it. The term safe is relative, and in this case it is relatively unsafe to do.

    So i guessed... oh well.. :p would be nice with a smart fan control, rather than the maniac of random blowing control we have now...

    actually not... it became all silent... and will only kick in when the temp gets higher so the bios would start the fan anyway. it seems...
