    Is the 3270 a 754-pin socket?

    Does anybody know if the 3270-EH1 (with a Sempron 2800+) sports a 754-pin socket?? If so, I think I'd rather get the 3270 instead of the 3250 ...

    For anyone interested, I just got off the phone with AMD. According to the rep I spoke with, the 3270 is in fact a 754-pin configuration.

    He also told me that the Mobile Sempron 2800+ is 64-bit capable. The only down-side to the Mobile Sempron (so it seems) is the smaller 256KB L2 cache. He told me that it will still out-perform the XP-M 2200+ though.

    Another downside to the 3270 is that it comes with XP Home, whereas the 3250 I ordered has XP Professional. Too many people are complaining that upgrading from Home to Pro is a major nightmare. Hmmm. I think I'll still go with the 3270 though for the socket 754...
