The specs say 1GB Dual Channel DDR2 Memory (4GB Max), but on the configuration section I see the max that can be bought is 2GB. Is the 2GB a single board?

4GB max means you need 2x2GB stick(s). Does that answer your question? I don't think 4GB sticks are available, but if they are, they are astronomically expensive (in thousands of $).
