Well, apparently, my friend was fixing up this laptop, so I asked him what it was, and he said it was something weird like "Hasee, or something.

Is there really a laptop brand called Hasee? And if so, are they of good quality? I wouldn't think so, seeing as I've never heard of it before.

Nah it was certainly Hasee. Plus, I actually have some hits on Google on it. Seems like it's some no name Chinese brand. Wonder what they're like?

Lol, for the second biggest company in China that makes computers, they don't have much of an article...

Maybe they are REALLY bad quality, I have never ever heard of them, except for when my friend mentioned them to me.

Hasee is actually very big in China, as you have discovered. They also sell notebooks in Korea under the Anynote brand.

Did you ever hear about Clevo/Sager before you came to NBR? Many of the users who go with Clevo/Sager units in the end through recommendations from users on this forum have not heard of these brands before stepping into NBR. This does not mean that Clevo/Sager units are bad purely because they are not commonly known.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I did know of Sager and Clevo before I came to NBR.

So does anyone know whether Hasee is good or not? Not that I'd buy them, as they don't seem readily available outside China, but I would like to know if their quality is on par with the more common brands, such as Dell, and HP.

You might have, but many of those who do go with Clevo/Sager in the end didn't. ;)

As far as I know, they make cheap laptops.

    Google-fu popped up with this.

From what i know they are pretty big in China and using Notebook ODMs like Pegatron, Quanta, ECS.

I know several of their boxes arrived as well in europe under different local brands and at least the Quanta and Pegatrons are pretty good actually

I have tried a couple of those myself. Everything shouts "budget" from looks, to build, to specs. If you are looking for a budget notebook, it's fine, but you won't find anything highend from them. At least I have never found anything along the lines of highend over the last couple of years.
