Im hoping someone can help, i have just found out that the dvd drive in my zepto 6625wd is region locked and worse still i only have 2 more region changes available before it locks regions completley.

I get a lot of imported DVD's from eBay so i have a problem....

Is there any way i can get more region changes or disable this completley?

i have never had this problem before, i persume the desktop computer this laptop replaced had a multiregion dvd drive.

    Please Help!!

I think all notebook optical drives come without multi-region capability and will lock up after 5 region changes. There's a site (I thought it was www.rpc1.org, but it's not loading for me) devoted to these issues and region-free firmware for some burners have been published (use at your own risk). If I were in your situation I would get and install a bare Liteon drive and use LtnRPC. The other option is to get region-free DVD player software (use Google).

I believe that VLC is region free ( http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ )
