    JFL92 , Is it able to run T7500 7700 or older chipset 965?

    I wonder if the new JFL92 able to run those CPUs? cause i have a spare one at home that i don't want to purchase the new T8000 9000 series.

    That's a great question, I would say yes, because I think they are fading out the IFL90, and the previous Intel CPU's are still for sale.

    BTW, didn't you said that you had a Penryn sample?

    yes it will run one of those. The only difference between the 90 and 92 is thermal diode to measure temps on penryn.

    Yah got 3 samples of different speed, don't know which. Btw, some one had me built an JFL92 for him so i get a chance to try each on the new barebone :D.

    Reason y is i want to save cost to built with the 7xx series that's all.

    Just got results from an email about the 45nm penryn sample i got.

    I dont' know if the dude mistaken in typing or not BUT THESE SAMPLE ARE T9XXX series. But dont' know why it's 1066MHZ BUS!!!


    2.4ghz is not in database either.. wait til my shipment of JFL92 to try all of these suckers out hahahahhaha. My FS thread will be up for all members who wants to test these babies.

    I would love to have either one, especially the 2.67MHz one.

    One question, what can I do to get samples too, are you a retailer?

    These are the new updated Penryn CPU's which are designed the support the new Montevina Chipset.
    This will be release early in june.

    WHat are the major differences between both platforms, beside the fact that the FSB speed is higher in the new platform?

    But I can tell you when you are thinking of buying a new notebook with this platform you must wait untill the summer

    Well the new PENRYN CPU models with teh 1066FSB will not work in the XFL9X mainboard.
    The design is only compatible with the new Montevina Chipset from Intel.
    Believe me I tested the new sample models and it is no gon so far maybe some update like a new BIOS will solve this, but then again why would you like to have a CPU installed with 1066FSB when it's only using a max of 800FSB.
    And the JFL92 is supporting only 667/800 trough the chipset.
