Whenever I listen music in Windows Media Player or any other player, every 10-20 seconds I hear jumpy repeating of one tone. Dunno how to describe it properly really, it's just like ringing a bell really quick, like trrrrrr :) and then continues with the song normally until it happens again in like 15secs. Its not the mp3 file coz I've tried few songs and tried repeating the part where the ringing start and its not there.

I noticed it is happening more often when I have wireless turned on, but if the music is already playing and if I try to connect, then it takes more time to connect and once it didn't at all until I turned the WMP and tried to connect and then no problem.

It was happening with WMP9 so I updated to WMP11, have the newest Klite codec. Wireless is Gigabyte GN, some s**t card, I will replace it first thing in the morning and Windows is handling the connections.
Is it the wireless, the sound card or Windows interfering with the sound? Anyone heard or had a similar problem.

The problem is too difficult to describe to find the solution googleing. Any it is really, really annoying.
    Thanks

I have no idea. I just tried listening to a pair of songs on my JFL92 and I am unable to detect anything unusual. The program I used is Windows Media Player and the songs were in .mp3 and .au formats. Each of the songs is over 2.5 minutes long. Have you tried using a headset? I have a roommate whom I don't want to annoy so I'm using one.

No, I haven't tried using a headset, but somehow I don't think that will solve the problem. But I will try.
    Thanks anyway

Same thing happens when watching videos on youtube. Similar thing happened to me when I once checked the box "Enable hardware acceleration"(or smth like that) in PowerDVD.

Hmm... I can't be sure but the description reminds me of cell phone interference. I've had that problem in the past with my desk speakers. It would go trr-trr-trr-trr-trr from time to time. I think I had a GSM cell phone at the time.

I updated audio drivers and chipset drivers and still the same. The wireless card was changed and now I have a Intel Pro/Wireless AGN and still no improvement.
    Glitch still exists.

So, clean Windows instalation, just newest chipset, video and audio drivers downloaded from internet, no glitches, audio seems prefectly fine.
After that, installed all other software incl. wireless and now everything is much better but I still hear sometimes, rarely, that glitch. Maybe I'm crazy. :).
