    JFL92 thermal IC on the motherboard... what does that do?

    It is thermal hardware added to the machine so it can support the new Penryn CPU's. :)

    Ah, but what is it about Penryn CPUs that require it where the old CPUs did not? Does it help monitor temperature?

    Do you mean a different heat sink than the 65nm CPU's?

    Or, are you talking about the the heat sensors for the touch sensitive keys?

    I meant there were modification for the CPU. :)

    At this time we don't have the specifics of each component they revised. We expect to have our first look inside of the machine tomorrow.
