    Hi all!
I have a Compal JFT00, which is very picky when it comes to how it wants to charge. If I just plug the power plug in, usually nothing happens. If i jiggle it about a bit, or rotate it in its slot, it usually "catches", and starts to charge. Then it usually works fine, as long as I don't move the laptop around so that the power plug no longer has it's optimal charging position.

Does anybody have any idea what the problem might be? Pretty sure it's not the charger, since I bought it not that long ago.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks!

Might be that you power jack is loose, or that the wire is "broken".

Check this thread for a "how-to", that tells you, how to open your laptop - a link to disassembly guide is also in there.

Opening it up will be the only way to know for sure - but beware, it's no a no-brainer, biut doable for everyone who brings some patience and good sense.

Btw, I am not sure if the JFT00 is the same as the FL90, but I think they practically are - might be wrong.

    Good luck!
