Hey notebook review, first time poster here

My girlfriend recently ordered a JHL90 laptop from xgbuy.com, and I told her she might as well order it without an operating system because we had another copy of Windows laying around. What a terrible idea. I was aware that XP needed SATA drivers for most installations on an SATA hard drive, and I fully understood that I needed to use nLite to put the SATA drivers onto an XP disc because I didn't have a floppy drive. However, the drivers cd that came with the computer only came with Vista drivers! Compal's (the mobo manufacturer) website has absolutely no XP drivers, only Vista!

I read a forum post that said bizcom-us.com has them, but the website has been passlocked forever and I can't find any ways to get in. Rizeon was also said to have the drivers, and the support section has been down for "routine maintenance" for days! I've never encountered a problem where drivers were so incredibly elusive.

Do you guys have any insight? I've searched this forum top to bottom, too.

    Thanks!

    Welcome to the forum.

Try the driver download section at sagernotebooks.com(they rebrand the Compal JHL90 as the Sager NP2096). However, you should ask the company you bought it from for XP drivers since if you need to get some tech support, there might be a problem(one of the first things a tech agent should do is ask if you have updated/correct drivers).
