    JHL90 whitescreen DOA?

    Well I was really excited today to get my JHL90. I power it up and get a second or so of fan noise then a grey/white screen. I took the ram out and tried it with either dim 1 at a time. Also, reseated the cpu to no avail. Tried connecting it to an external monitor but no signal.

    Have to RMA it now.

    First experience buying a laptop online is not so good.

    It looks like the LCD cable isn't connected on the back of the LCD panel.
    Open the LCD cover and check the cable on the back of the LCD panel.
    Also check the cables on the front located at the inverter (small electric board).

    Thanks for the reply I did end up doing the RMA the next morning and it is currently on its way back from being repaired. I may do some benchmarks as I could not find many when I was making my decision to buy. Sometime Wednesday maybe if I have the time.

    I just got the notebook back today and it is running awesome so far.
    Installed Windows Server 2008 and will see how Crysis and Assassin's Creed run later on tonight or tomorrow after I get it setup.

    Also as a side note server 2k8 doesn't support AHCI and native command queuing. Bluescreen on first boot with it on so I had to disable it :(
