No drivers are needed for the touchpad it's using native driver under Windows XP & Vista.
No SPDIF out on this model so far known. -
the native driver wont scroll... anyway to fix that, allso tap to click is annoying

this driver works for the touchpad
the only thing i wonder now is if it possible to get the 5.1 sound from my bluray\dvd rom to a avreciver without having to buy a external usb sound card? -
Can you use the scroll function with that touchpad driver?
-
yep works great for me
but sill i wonder about the sound output... anyone knows? -

Synaptics drivers don't work for scrolling, and there is no way to disable the tapping. However tapping is what makes Touchpads great...if you just take a little while to get used to tapping you will probably love it...almost everyone does.

I found newer Alps 7.200.202.9 drivers at Softpedia at the link below. The download appears to have both Vista 32 bit and 64 bit drivers:-

They work OK on my new JHL90 with Vista Home Premium 32 bit -

It's a touchpad driver for JFT02 for Vista64, maybe work on JHL90. -
I normally hate linux with a passion for desktop use, but I find linux far better than Windows for my laptop when I'm not gaming. With linux you can disable the tap to click non-sense and also set it up to automatically disable the touchpad when a mouse is plugged in.

Compal released new drivers for the touchpad:
http://www.compal.com/asp/driver_dn...load/NB/JHL90_91/Driver/07_Touchpad/Synaptics
This driver version will give you the option to disable the touchpad. -

and for the SPDIF out I bought a Creative X-fi surround 5.1. It is an external usb sound card with optical output. I bought it in NYC for $ 60.

Still have to test it with my receiver, will do that in about a week when I moved to another place (receiver allready packed)
