No drivers are needed for the touchpad it's using native driver under Windows XP & Vista.
No SPDIF out on this model so far known.

HDMI combines video and multi-channel audio (pure digital).

Synaptics drivers don't work for scrolling, and there is no way to disable the tapping. However tapping is what makes Touchpads great...if you just take a little while to get used to tapping you will probably love it...almost everyone does.

I installed this driver on vista 64-bit, but the scrolling doesn't work. Do I have to enable something or does it works immediately after I install the driver?

I normally hate linux with a passion for desktop use, but I find linux far better than Windows for my laptop when I'm not gaming. With linux you can disable the tap to click non-sense and also set it up to automatically disable the touchpad when a mouse is plugged in.

This driver didn't work for me either, but this one finanlly did :)

and for the SPDIF out I bought a Creative X-fi surround 5.1. It is an external usb sound card with optical output. I bought it in NYC for $ 60.
