Yea I have alot more that I havent posted *evil grin* I just ran that test real quick to put a score above 15.9k+ up as I said I would since he was once again questioning my integrity.

Still waiting on my extreme tuning utility that he could easily get =) and him breaking 16k which I have many times.

Woah guys, don't explode your systems trying to push it over the top :p

And to the guy who asked, no I dont have the WB, I was just one of the first ever people interested in this notebook. I was actually on GoG when threads had a new post like every 2 hours. :D My Location stopped me from purchasing it (i know mark ships here but .... long story) so I was stuck buying from a local reseller.

bah, nevermind about the GPU overclocking part; I just tried OCing my GPU(s) to 700mhz core, 900mhz memory, and I didn't see any performance gains. I bumped the core to 720 and my system froze during the Counter Strike Stress Test. Also I noticed that temperatures climbed up dramatically after I set those clocks up, even during windowed/non-gaming mode.

Whats up with flubbing. I accept any score good as long as it is not made via photoshop. What is wrong with disabling stuff and getting higher scores?

because.... then you get people thinking their computer is better than what it really is... and it's a major dissappointment when it doesn't game like it's suppose to. and you based your gaming experience off of someones 3dmark06 score...

I still don't get it since it is just an option that is being turned off in 3dmark. It is like running it at wxga instead of wuxga etc. I guess it all depends on what you are using the benchmark for.

we'll use that. (example:it's like running it at 1024x768)
then passing it off as a 1280x1024 run. a benchmarking no no!

edit: when you run default. it means just that...default. and it shows up what test you ran when posting to futuremark. but now if you go flubbing the scores and then not posting them to futuremark...then people get the idea that it's performing way better than they expected. if your going to go disabling stuff..then by all means...let all know it's so. so others don't go getting their hopes up. then when their system doesn't perform..they are in the forums trying to find out why.

ichime, that whole OC'ing the GPU thing.. it doesnt do much at all orther than create heat. I think the only true way to OC these cards, and get any benefit is by flashing a new BIOS to them, including voltages and clocks. I've done some research on it, I just am affraid to brick my system. There's a winflasher for doing so, but I'd prefer to flash via DOS. Long story short, if you don't mind making a big paperweight, then give it a try.

Another user on these forums, alexsga, used gpu-z to pull his 2 BIOSes.. then ran Rabit, or whatever that program is called.. And tried flashing, only his screen never came back. He had to do an old skool trick shorting a couple of pins on the GPUs to reset them, and then blind flashed one card(got lucky), and was able to restore his GPUs.. He said it wasn't worth it, too much hassle and came out bad. I'll live by his experience. Well, until someone else is successful. ;)

Yeah, that's way too risky for me, though I did some VBIOS flashing when I had the Dell M1710. I'm using AMD GPU Clock tool, which is the only program so far that does anything to the clock speed (verified by GPU-Z), but the weird thing about it is that it reports the stock clocks at 300 core, 400 memory for one core and 660 core and 850 memory for the other, though GPU-Z reports the latter for both GPUs.

I'll play around it some more until I figure out what's really going on. Also, it blocks out the option for 2d and 3d mode.

you gotta choose which card to change the clocks on.. i also found that to be the only functional program. But, select a card..change clocks, then select the previous card..change clocks. I got it to run 710/900 and that's it. Any more than that and it drops the video drivers.. The GTXs are similar, from what I gather. You gotta flash, and then also up the voltages with the clocks for your MOBO to support it. Otherwise, software OC'ing is just a waste of time.
