Hi everyone,
Been looking to buy either the new 6224W or a 6324W but can't decide, gonna be be watching this closely though.

Why is someone selling a maxed out brand new 6324W on ebay? Especially since Zepto has a 14days return and refund policy?
-
To make some money? Does anyone know how much this would cost new as I can't specify it on the Zepto site. There is also a 13 day wait too.
-
The config would cost £1,436,38 plus shipping and credit card charges.
-
Thanks for that Wave, have you had any experience of these? What are the Zeptos like?

Buying a 99p notebook on ebay, with full warrenty?
I dunno, sounds like a scam. Wouldnt touch it with a 10foot pole.
But grats S3ntinel if you get it. *cough*if your not the guy who put it up in the first place, and is trying to scam people of this forum by posting this tread *cough-cough*
Sorry for being paranoid.
Cheers -
Good value for money and pretty good performance. Comparable quality to other mainstream notebooks. Service is great.
Battery runtime ofcourse is not the best but that is due to the powerfull configuration. The laptop gets pretty hot because of that too.
99p is just the starting price. I expect the price to increase to pretty close if not over the price at the zepto shop. Over because of the shorter delivery time. -
? zombie4ever. More like moribund4ever! Do you intend to buy it? Why be paranoid?
-
Guess your right. If you trust auctions and you indeed get your laptop, then one would be better off not listening to an old paranoid fart like me. (Not that im that old
)
-
It's nice to see some more pics of the 6324w, at least
. The 0.99p is just a starting price (and a gimmick), it'll certainly go up (probably ending up at the retail price or close to it).
Personally, I'd prefer to deal with the company (i.e. Zepto) directly, especially for something that expensive. But that's just me...
A little off topic, but did anyone read this:
Seems like the seller is working through some issues ^^. -
Ebay is working through alot of issues with nigerian scammers. It is a pretty commen thing for sellers of tech items to write.
-
I've sold a couple of mobile phones on Ebay in the past and quite frankly some of the sob stories and bulls**t requests for shipment you get from these characters is laughable!
-
LOL, he's trying to get a little bit more than just the lousy 419Tshirt
-
Ahh. I've heard of this [the 4-1-9] scam, but had no idea ebay is getting hit by it. That place [eBay] seems to get more dodgy by the month...
-
If this is a scam, it is getting allot attention. Exactly what a scammer would want
-
Well if it is a scam, the person involved really has the machine; look at the pictures. I've put a bid on it anyways.
-
Oops. Sorry if I wasn't clear, the scam I was referring to is the 4-1-9 scam
. The auction itself is probably legit.
-
I think it has to do with the fact that the T7700 2.4GHz is not available on current 14" models (the 6224W or the 6324W).
Edit: sorry its not available on the international website. -
they dont look like a dodgy seller really with 99.2% positive rating and a score of 119, also they have been a member for over 3 years, unless someone has hijacked their account. I reckon as already stated the seller recognized he had a limited edition unit on his hands (T7700) and wanted to try and make a buck. I would also buy through zepto tho, he might have messed around with the unit/runied warranty etc..
-
The pictuers of the 6324W are unique and look real. Pretty sure he has the laptop.
Might be a good idea for him to sell it now. Zepto will take a few more weeks before the T7500 and T7700 are available again in the 14.1" laptops. -

I've just checked up on the serial number on the label, and it's real enough when you look at the configuration. He's residing in the UK.
Just so you know that the images and the machine is not a scam.
-
I'm still waiting, for mine, in black and I won't be selling mine....
I hope it arrives soon... O the waiting...
-
Do NOT buy this machine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
The seller stoped it anyway. Did Zepto make him stop? Dont really see how they could have. Maybe he got a good offer by email.
-
zeptoUk wants you to buy machines from him of course...
-
I would love to hear why we shouldnt buy this machine.
Other than one sentence with a word written in CAPITAL letters, and loads of '!!!!!!!!!!!!!'
Come on, you can tell us.
I know its no longer for sale on Ebay, surely there is a reason for it.
Please tell us. -
Not much happening, am i the only one who'd like to know more about what happened?
Why was the auction cancelled?
Why did ZeptoUK not want anyone to buy the machine?
What was wrong with the computer, when Rene from Zepto Denmark confirmed it was ok by looking up the serial number?
So many questions
-
I dont think Zepto did anything to cancel the auction. I bet the seller got an email saying that someone wants to buy it for 1600 right now without bidding/waiting and he said ok. The seller cancelled the auction.
Zepto couldnt have done anything to stop the auction. The notebook was the property of the seller and he can do with it as he wants.
I think ZeptoUK was just trying to say that you should buy from Zepto and not bid on some potentialy unsafe auction. -

I was just confirming that the serial number matched a machine with those specs. ZeptoUK is on holiday at the moment so you'll have to wait for him to get back and see if he can explain why he said not to buy the machine. -
A Zepto employee on holiday, unheard of
Have a nice one Ian.....
-
I still dream of being able to afford the 6615's big brother.
-
Yes. A well deserved break I'm sure.
Anyone know if Iann's emails get picked up in his absence? I need to change the delivery address for my order. -

blade_4.9 you can write an email to [email protected] instead.
-

.. what was the reason behind saying don't buy the 6324 from ebay?
Just noticed this.
