Any way to do this guys?
I get 85C max temperatures after a few hours but I'm not about to stop gaming on a laptop I bought for gaming/school as that is what I bought it for. And was guarenteed it would work fine.
Any ideas fellow IFL90'ers?

Which BIOS version are you using for the FL90

Make sure to clean it out. Get your can of compressed air and open the bottom panels to spray all the dust and accumulated "stuff" out of the fan, the vents and the entire area...including under the heat sink. You may even want to consider applying new thermal paste (AS5) while you are in there.
If you fans are working correctly, and it didn't used to get this hot, it is probably because the cooling system is being blocked.
If you still need help with it, turn it over and call the toll free 24/7 Support number that is on the sticker there. -
You can use the vacuum machine if you don't have the fancy air compressor.

85 are normal for ifl90 cleaned out (in CS:S), when cooler gats a bit blocked with dust it easily gets till 90 degrees. Unfortunately there is no way to control fan speed and furthermore they react only to CPU temperature change. Just leave with it and hope that it’ll die until the warranty is over, anyway all 8600M came out to be faulty. I hope Nvidia gets what it deserves.....

And I did in fact clean out the fans and inside recently with compressed air.
The max temp I get after hours of play with it propped up is 86C (usually 85).
The max I get when I just let it sit on a flat surface is 89C. -
8600m are stable up to 97 degrees
mine gets up to 110 (Asus G1s)
89 doesnt sound bad. how long is there left on the warranty -
A solid 2 years +.
I'm not too worried, I was mainly a little concerned during that nvidia hype about our cards being faulty. -
well when i called asus they told me that the 8600m in the G1s is indeed affected and that i should wait a couple of weeks to see what nvidia intends to do about it before calling back.
Kick the fans in sooner?
