Is there an L2 cache with the Compal Hel80 - T2500 and if so, how do I find out / where is it?
Thanks

L2 Cache depends solely on the CPU.
In the case of the Core Duo T2500, it is 2mb.
For the Core 2 Duo 7X00 series, it is 4 mb. -
It's on the processor's die. You can't replace it or anything without dropping in a new CPU.

I used a software called CPUSpy 1.04 (DB v9) which has indicated that I have no L2 Cache (none detected at the very least).

Is this a good software to detect L2 Cache or is there something else I can use that will tell me if I have L2 Cache. I'm guessing from what you have said that everyone has it, but can it be damaged and if so, how would I notice?
Thanks -
1.) everyone has it
2.) If it was damaged you'd know...very quickly
3.) try cpu-z or everest. -
Other way to 'see' it is to disable the splash screen for your BIOS setup, which will then show a bunch of hardware information upon startup (in place of the Phoenix logo), including the CPU clock and L2 cache.

Thanks you two, did these, seems fine.
