    Hi,

I've had my Zepto laptop around a month now, and while I've always thought it emitted a great deal of heat, recently when playing games it seems ridiculously hot. The air is not just faintly warm, its properly hot, and the bottom of the laptop is very hot to touch. It doesn't appear to be causing any problems that I'm aware of, but I thought I'd inquire all the same.

Also, I've got SpeedFan and the readings seem pretty inconsistent, sometimes it appears that the laptop has just started and certain Temps are near 50c, while right now, when it actually appears to be hot it reads that everything is below, aside from HD. Is it reliable?

How hot should should I expect the laptop to get?

    Walrus,
Please post some more details. 50 degrees C at startup is not exactly worrisome to me.

In the meantime, please read through the cooling guide for more information on how to keep your notebook running cooler.

If I understand it right: your CPU starts at 50 degrees idle and after gaming the temps go down?!

Well that doesnt sound very good. Post some temps while gaming.

50 C at start up seems a bit high. Speedfan is a good program, but maybe you could try a different one, to see if the temperature is any different on that. As chrisyano pointed out, it may be useful to have a look at the cooling guide.

    Thanks for the replies,

Though I think some of you may have misunderstood. It doesn't usually startup at 50 C, but rather has done on occasion where it seems as if it isn't emitting any heat whatsoever. However on other occasions it seems like it really is hot (such as when I'm gaming), but Speedfan reads low temperatures. Neither the former of the latter is what's constantly read, so I was just wondering how viable SpeedFan is as a reader of temperatures.

For instance, right now it reads:

    HD 29c
    Temp 1: 19c
    Temp 2: 34c
    Temp 3: 25c
    Temp 4: 30c
    Temp 5: 24c
    Temp 6: 30c

All below, but I'm not gaming at the moment. So really I was just more concerned how hot I should be expecting it to be getting when I am, because to touch it seemed very hot.

I'll check out the cooling guides, thanks for the help guys.
