Suddenly my Laptop(6625WD) has begun to shut down randomly. It just cuts out. With or without battery...

It seems to happen when I am doing intensive situations like games, but has also happened during just web surfing or watching a video file or looking through Itunes.

It doesnt shut down.. it just goes to black, and then when I press the turn on button, it starts up regularly.

But if I do it to fast right afterwards, most of the time it shuts down again during start up.

It started happening last week when I got. My laptop had been in my bag which was in a bus. I am afraid that the bus driver might have been to hard on it...(but then again, maybe it was not such a good idea to have it with all the other baggage).. it was enclosed in a laptop bag of its own though..

Could it be heat? a bad hard drive? help?

could be a heat issue. try monitoring your temps with programs like HWMonitor or Rivatuner.

I would start by looking into the charger. Test if it feels hot when your using the laptop. What happens if you remove the coord and run it on only battery? Is the battery charged?

Classical heat issue scenario. Do as whizzo says and check your temperatures with HWMonitor or RivaTuner, and post back in here.

I hate to sound like a broken record... Heat. Is the fan running? If so, get a can of compressed air and start blowing out the air passages, you may be surprised as how many dust bunnies are living in side your unit.
