Brief summary, I was going to buy the 2090 but then they stopped having the higher resolution matte screen option with no word if they will ever come back. PowerNotebooks announces thier house brand built on the IFL90 will have that option, I rejoice.

    Now the long part.

Today I go to get a final price for my rig and notice the link is gone, so I go to thier site and see that the new one in its place is PowerPro P 11:15 based off the JFL92. So I click and explore and see the only real difference is the chipset. I have not really paid much attention to the most recent chips other then to know they are comming out and cant find much in the way of comparison, in terms I understand.

So with my old build, I was going to go with the T 7500, 2.2ghz/4mb. Now I see the T 8100/8300. Now I was going off the premise that 4mb was better then 2mb as my whole reason to buy the T 7500, but now I wonder if this new option would be even better? Hence the search for help.

The most demanding games I play are WoW and WC3. I am also starting to learn various web and programming languages. Should I stick with the T 7500 or go for the 8100/8300?

Sorry for the long post. =(

You probably wont notice the difference between those two processor in most task(including gaming). I would go for the T8100 since its $50 cheaper.

The T8100/T8300 are newer "Penryn" processors and the JFL9x still uses the Santa Rosa Chipset(PM965) like the IFL-90(the JFL9x has modifications to allow newer Penryn processors)

BTW, 3 Year Warranty - Next Business Day Shipping - Lifetime 24/7 DOMESTIC Tech Support is a nice warranty :)
