    MICRO EXPRESS JFL9226 and JHL9025

I'm very interested in the MICRO EXPRESS JFL9226 and JHL9025 15.4" laptops - Both utilize the latest Intel Centrino 2 processor (Montevina platform - Penryn processor) technology, 4GB Intel® Turbo Memory, 9.5mm, 2.5” S-ATA HDD support with 200GB (7200rpm) capacity,1920x1080 16:9 HD resolution, DDR II 667/800 SDRAM, and a host of pretty amazing other features for a relatively modest price.

The JFL9226 was impressively reviewed on-line in the July 30, 2008 PC World review, (sorry, forum monitor is not letting me post the url), and in their new November, 2008 PC World magazine. (The 9226 and the 9025 are essentially the same machine.)

Does anyone have any information to share on these laptops? I would greatly appreciate any help or advice I can get. I've looked at most of the comparable laptops, and they all seem to have major drawbacks and flaws. These Micro Express laptops are not so pretty, but they sure seems to have outstanding features.

    Thanks for your help. :)

Those are rebranded Compal IFL92/JHL90. Another more popular rebrand of those Compal models are the Sager NP2092/Sager NP2096. A search with either of those terms should bring up some results that should help you. You also might want to check the compal forum(there is a sticky about other vendors that might have it cheaper or have better options).

The prices are almost same. They must have dropped their prices! Micro Express offers two years warranty and most others come with standard one year.
