I am wondering about the size of the MX laptop. I have a Fujitsu P5020d and a Fujtisu C2010. Does anybody know how the MX laptop compares to these other laptops in size. I'm looking for a smaller laptop with some power (for gaming, web design, work, etc). I can't decide between a MX, UX, or the S7020D. For a side note, on a cosmetic issue, why doesn't the top of the MX have either nothing or the P1 logo. I noticed the SR and UX series have the P1 logo on them (the UX one is on the back part of the top).

MX dimensions: 13 inch (wide) x 9.7 inch (depth) x 1.18~1.29 inch (height)
    • 5.4lbs w/ CPU, 2.5” Hard Drive, Main Battery & Dual Layer Optical Drive

    UX dimensions: • 10.83in (wide) x 9.17in (depth) x .94 in / .98in (height); ~10.25 in deep with 9 cell battery
    • 3.4lbs /1.55kg w/ Dothan CPU, 2.5” HDD, 3 cell Battery & Combo Drive; 4 lbs. with 9 cell battery

The Fujitsu S7020 falls in between size and weight wise.

I don't know the dimensions of the other Fujitsu models. I can tell you, from personal experience, that Portableone's units are far superior to Fujitsu wrt build, reliability and durability. In addition, you cannot beat Portableone's customer service- I don't think any other merchant in the industry offers comparable service. No question is too stupid or problem unimportant not only pre-sale, but months later. Need help- give them a call. Someone answers right away and will work until your problem is resolved. No holding forever, no foreign outsourcing.

Personally, I owned the S7020 and returned it after several months due to many issues with the unit (very long story). Many people are happy with theirs, but mine was definitely a lemon. We replaced it with the UX because weight was a major concern (my daughter uses it for law school and carries it with her constantly and she has back problems) and I cannot tell you how much better the UX is. The MX is definitely more of a workhorse and will be better if you need more of a desktop replacement, because of its dedicated graphics card, but the UX is wonderful for everyday office applicaitons, Internet and most other uses other than graphic intense applications or gaming. It has been thrown in a messenger bag (of course a padded sleeve) accompanied by books, removed and replaced multiple times daily for the fall semester and still looks like it did the day it came from Portableone - this is a solid, durable unit.

Anyway, if you want more info. on the UX I did a "first impressions" post back in October in this forum. Good luck- you can't go wrong with either the MX or the UX (or if you want a 13" widescreen, the new SX which someone just posted is being released shortly)
